History & Mission

Guardians Credit Union is a full-service financial institution dedicated to meeting the needs of our members. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, we proudly serve our community with convenient full-service locations throughout South Florida.

Originally established as Palm Beach County Employees Credit Union in 1953, our credit union has undergone a few name changes over the years. Ultimately, we became Guardians Credit Union in 2015. We have grown our membership and today proudly serve over 35,000 members.

As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we focus on financially empowering our members by offering loans at fair and reasonable rates, paying competitive dividends on savings products, and minimizing service fees for overall account maintenance. Unlike traditional banks, we are owned and operated by our members, ensuring that every member has an equal share and voice in the credit union, regardless of their account balance.

Our Board of Directors and volunteer committees are composed of members who are dedicated to representing the best interests of our community. Our core mission is simple—not just to meet but to exceed our members' expectations by providing quality service and support to the everyday heroes in our community. We aim to serve those everyday heroes and help strengthen their financial well-being.
